About the book: Sufi Stories of Wisdom, Calm and Wondrous Mystique
What is Sufism? At its core, Sufism is a journey of seeking closeness to God. Sufi practitioners aim to cultivate inner tranquility, practice sincerity, and foster a deep connection with our Creator.

Love – love for God and for all creatures that God created who sing His praise – is central to Sufi way of life. The Sufi message of love and kindness has never been more relevant than in today’s tumultuous world.

The real Sufis were more than just dervishes in a woolen robe. The Sufis through prayers and grace of God purify their hearts such that nothing exist in it except love. There no ego or hatred or desire for revenge. The Sufis love God and their love for God is such that it automatically extends to love for all God’s creatures.

The Sufis were gentle and kind folks. Mevlana Rumi was known to purchase food from the bazaar to feed a dog who was not able to leave her puppies. When Hazrat Bayazid Bastami found some ants in the food he had purchased, he traveled back to the shop’s location to return the ants to their original habitat. Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani taught that we should not think of revenging ourselves if we are wronged by someone.

Only by purifying our hearts can they become a worthy dwelling for God. This is what we learn from the stories of friends of God.

Through a weaving of anecdotes from tradition and history, this book of Sufi Stories brings to life some of the most revered figures in Sufism.

From their emphasis on love for God to their unwavering commitment to Salah, the Sufis were true embodiments of devotion. But their message went beyond fear and obligation – it was one of positivity, hope, and love. Through their stories, we are reminded of the infinite love of God and the contentment that comes from a life of piety.

With each Sufi story in this book, I hope to spark a sense of wonder that awakens our hearts and minds to the transformative power of this rich tradition. My hope is that these Sufi Stories will offer a guiding light for all of us towards greater spiritual understanding.

Exploring the world of Sufi mystics, often narrated through tales of dervishes, provides a glimpse into the heart of Sufism itself. Let’s dive into the enchanting world of Sufism with tales of dervishes and the wisdom they wove in their stories.

I hope you enjoy these stories, and they bring you peace and happiness.
